Light roast washed coffee from Ontario
19 light roast washed coffees from 10 roasters in Ontario.
A light roast stops early, before the second crack, to keep the acidity, florals and fruit of the green coffee. It is the roast style of the specialty movement and the one that shows origin and process most clearly. These are the light and light-medium roasts from roasters in Ontario.
Washed (wet-processed) coffees have the fruit removed before drying, which gives a clean, bright cup where the variety and the farm come through. It is the classic process for Central American, Colombian and Kenyan coffees. Here are the washed coffees from roasters in Ontario.
